Korean-Founded Niber Technologies Brings Together ex-Gore and PrimaLoft Execs

Dr. Richard Beck and Jochen Lagemann now lead Niber Technologies as the Korean-founded company advances its ingredient brand strategy, backed by ~$11M in Series A funding

SINGAPORE, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Niber Technologies, a Singapore-headquartered electrospinning platform, has built its leadership team from two of the industry's most recognized names. Dr. Richard Beck, a 25-year veteran of Gore-Tex, and Jochen Lagemann, formerly a Managing Director at PrimaLoft. Tomas Vucurevic, formerly Global Brand Manager at Gore-Tex, was appointed Chief Brand Advisor.

The series of appointments marks a deliberate step for the Korean-founded company, built on a proprietary electrospinning platform that manufactures PFAS-free membranes and laminates for performance apparel.

Executive Leadership from Gore-Tex and PrimaLoft

Dr. Beck is a materials engineer with a PhD from the University of Queensland and more than 25 years of experience in functional membranes and performance textiles. He previously held senior leadership roles at W. L. Gore & Associates, including leading the GORE-TEX business across the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, he leads Niber's business strategy serving the waterproof-breathable textiles market.

Lagemann joins as Chief Commercial Officer having built his career at PrimaLoft as Managing Director, bringing more than 25 years of international experience building and scaling ingredient brands across the performance apparel and textile industry, with prior roles also spanning W. L. Gore & Associates, Amann Group, and Spectre. He is based in Munich, where Niber has established its first office in Europe, and leads the company's global commercial growth.

"I spent 25 years inside an industry built around high-performance materials. Now, PFAS-free materials are driving new standards for performance and protection. Niber gave me the opportunity to help build something new through electrospinning."
— Dr. Richard Beck, President & Chief Strategy Officer

"Niber already has what most companies spend years trying to build. It has real scale and a unique technology. My job is making sure the world sees it, giving brand customers the chance to create a new product category, and consumers to enjoy the performance of our technology.”
— Jochen Lagemann, Chief Commercial Officer

Both Beck and Lagemann bring direct experience serving customers in Korea alongside their broader international roles.

Tomas Vucurevic has also been engaged as Chief Brand Advisor, formerly Global Brand Manager at Gore-Tex, where he spent his career building recognition for ingredient technologies on a global scale. Together, the three bring experience that spans both the international stage Niber is stepping onto, and the market it started in.

A Korean-Founded Company, Backed by Global Investors

Niber was founded by brothers Jaemin Park and Jaehyung Park, carrying forward a family legacy in electrospinning. What began as inherited expertise became the basis for a company built to manufacture at industrial scale, not just demonstrate a technology in a lab — headquartered in Singapore, producing at volume in the Philippines, and now expanding into Europe.

That conviction has drawn serious institutional backing. Niber has raised ~$11M to date in its Series A round supported by investors such as the Asian Development Bank, TNB Aura, and Foxmont Capital Partners — capital that has helped the company grow from a Korean-founded startup into a business now operating across continents.

Building Toward an Ingredient Brand

That's the piece that a global leadership team and funding were assembled to deliver. Niber is developing a broader ingredient brand strategy — positioning its electrospinning platform as a name brand partners and consumers recognize.

"A recognizable ingredient brand does something a supplier name can't — it becomes a trust signal for brand partners, and a name consumers start to look for. That's the journey we're building toward."
— Tomas Vucurevic, Chief Brand Advisor

What started as two brothers’ vision that electrospinning could do more, now spans Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, United States, and now, with Niber’s first European office in Germany. From a family's legacy in electrospinning to a footprint spanning three continents, Niber's next chapter — its own ingredient brand — is the one it's been building toward all along.
